The Fun of an Inflatable Trampoline

AUTHOR: Irene McGinty

Inflatable Trampoline
Inflatable trampolines are an alternative to purchasing a traditional backyard trampoline, and you might decide that renting one for your next family party is the way to go to. It’s a great way for all the kids to use up all that energy while you and the other adults enjoy visiting. You can, of course, purchase an inflatable trampoline, but this is a sizeable investment, and unless you plan to use it quite often, it really isn’t very cost-effective.

On the other hand, renting an inflatable trampoline is easy and temporary. You can look into rentals at your local sporting goods store, and some party stores carry them as well. They are a popular item to rent, so make sure you call ahead to check on availability and put your order in. You can also find inflatable trampolines on the Internet, and it’s possible to rent them here too. An advantage of renting online is that your inflatable trampoline will be delivered right to your door.

Either way, you’ll have to pick a nice, flat, grassy spot to set the inflatable trampoline up. Most of these trampolines come with their own special pump – you’ll want to make sure this is included when you rent yours. With these types of pumps, you simply plug them in and wait until your trampoline is fully inflated, which takes several hours. (Factor this time in when you plan your event, so that the trampoline is ready to go when the party begins.)

When the day’s activities are done, all you have to do is open the valves and wait until all the air is out. Then you can fold the trampoline back up and it will be ready to go for the next time – or ready to return to the rental place.

Just like with other trampolines, you will want to make sure that children are supervised when they are enjoying it. Make sure there are no sharp stones or other objects about that could puncture the inflatable trampoline. Also it’s a good idea to jump either barefoot or with socks – shoes can damage the trampoline because of the sharp edges on heels.

If you want to ultimately purchase an inflatable trampoline, there are different sizes and price ranges, so do your research. You might want a simple model for very young children to have fun using, but if you do host big parties or fund-raising events, a larger, more expensive inflatable trampoline might be worth it for you to purchase.

Clearly, an inflatable trampoline is not for everyone – but for those who crave novelty and have the disposable income to enjoy it, you might find that the fun you have on an inflatable trampoline is well worth the price!
