Protect Your Trampoline with a Trampoline Cover

AUTHOR: Neal Preston

Trampoline Cover
Your trampoline has been designed to last for years, assuming you have purchased a high-quality, well-made brand. You will want to do everything possible to take good care of your investment so that you and your family can have years of enjoyment from it.

One way to do this is to purchase a trampoline cover. By doing so, you can protect your trampoline from damage due to wind and rain and keep it clean and free from debris. This will definitely help prolong the life of your trampoline, so it’s worth investing in.

Several companies offer trampoline covers, and most of them offer similar features. More important than what brand you choose is making sure the trampoline cover you select is of a high quality and the proper size for your particular trampoline.

You may be able to purchase a trampoline cover from the manufacturer of your particular trampoline. However, in the event that this isn’t a possibility, what you need to do is very carefully measure your trampoline, noting all the dimensions down. Accuracy is crucial, because of course a cover that fits improperly won’t be able to do what it was designed to do.

You’ll want to select a trampoline cover that’s waterproof. Typically, it will be made from polyethylene, preferably a thick 220-gram fabric. The cover should have straps along the sides that can attach securely to your trampoline’s legs and springs. Some covers allow the water that collects when it rains to drain from the center. You can also find covers in colors. Forest green is a good choice, because it blends in well with your yard and provides an improved UV protection, which is a good idea because sun damage can be just as hard on your trampoline as wind and rain.

Because it’s important never to leave children unsupervised on the trampoline, a trampoline cover also is a good way to let your children know when the trampoline is off-limits to them. You don’t want your own children or neighborhood children wandering onto your trampoline in your absence and getting injured. With the cover in place, you can prevent the possibility of this happening.

You will discover as you shop around that there is quite a variety of trampoline covers available. You’ll want to be aware of your budget and your needs, but at the same time you do want to choose a cover that is worthy of protecting your trampoline investment. On the other hand, some covers available can be just as pricey as the trampolines themselves, so you want to do some research and choose your cover wisely.

There are other accessories you can buy for your trampoline, but first and foremost should be the cover.
